1 & 2 Kings (Part 1) • Solomon and the House of the Lord
1 & 2 Kings (Part 1): This is a six-week Bible study through the first eleven chapters of 1 Kings. God had promised that one of David’s descendants would build a House for his Name and that is exactly what his son Solomon does. Solomon was described as a man of rest and yet he didn’t fully follow after God, in fact left a legacy of a divided kingdom. But Solomon also left us an important reminder, through the temple that he built, that God has always desired to dwell among His people. God has shown this desire from the Garden, to the Tabernacle, to the Temple, and to his indwelling presence with His people today.
This study would be a good fit for individual study, or to use in a small group setting. The companion audio or video teachings can be found at ccontario.com/womens-studies.
